About Snow Training

The Oshkosh Corporation Training Center provides world-class training to our customers on the vehicles that we manufacture. Our training department currently trains approximately 2,500 students annually worldwide. This training is conducted at our modern training facility located at our headquarters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, or at our customer locations. At Oshkosh, meeting the needs of our customer is our highest priority.

We maintain a full-time, full-service training department, staffed by training specialists with long-term experience in the truck manufacturing industry. The training department, guided by the Director of Corporate Training, includes a Training Coordinator/Project Manager, Project Specialists, Administrative Assistant and numerous full-time training specialists.

Facility

Oshkosh's Training Center is located on 33 acres, which provides ample area for vehicle operation. Our facilities are clean, modern, spacious, and easily accessible from a major freeway. The Training Center provides a learning environment in which our students feel comfortable. Our classrooms are equipped with large tables, comfortable chairs, audio/video equipment and extensive areas of white boards. The learning laboratory is close to the classrooms and is large enough to accommodate the vehicles involved in training. The laboratory also has an assortment of component parts, cutaways and training aides to assist in the learning experience of our students.

Classes

Command Zone H-Series Maintenance

Note:  H-Series Maintenance courses are offered in two versions – with Command Zone electronics for vehicles 2007 and newer, and a Pre-2007 course for vehicles without Command Zone electronics.

The five-day Maintenance Course introduces students to the vehicle's chassis, hydraulic, air, and electronic systems used on the H-Series snow removal equipment. Using classroom and plenty of hands-on training, the technician will learn proper operation, lubrication, adjustments, and troubleshooting.

H-Series Advanced Electronics

The four-day Advanced Electronics Class is a course in which students will learn theory, operation and logic of advanced electronic systems used on Oshkosh’s Command Zone H-Series.  Operation, logic, interfacing and diagnostics of the drive engine, transmission, blower engine, and various Command Zone systems will be covered in detail. 

Learn to identify the electronic system components, understand component operation and practice component diagnostics and repair, and be introduced to computer-based electronic software used for parameter monitoring, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

P-Series Maintenance

The five-day Maintenance Course introduces students to the vehicle's chassis, hydraulic, air, and electronic systems.  Using classroom and plenty of hands-on training, the technician will learn proper operation, lubrication, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
