Oshkosh Airport & Municipal Products Group Awarded Striker® Vehicle Contract From Royal Oman Air Force

OSHKOSH, WIS. (November 13, 2008) – Oshkosh Airport & Municipal Products Group, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), today announced that it has received an order from the country of Oman’s Royal Air Force and its Ministry of Defense for three Oshkosh® Striker® Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles. The order is valued at $1.9 million and delivery is scheduled for June 2009.

“This order is an important milestone as we continue to provide the right products to meet our customers’ needs and grow our market share in the Middle East,” said Tim Raupp, Oshkosh Corporation Airport and Municipal Products Group president. “With nine vehicles already in service in Oman, this new order signifies continued momentum for the Striker platform.”

All three of the Striker 3000 models specified by the Royal Oman Air Force feature 6 x 6 all-wheel drive with TAK-4® independent suspension, 12,000 liter (3,000 gallon) water tank capacity, 680 hp engine and electronic foam proportioning. “Our proprietary TAK-4® independent suspension, which provides greater control and enhanced mobility, allows the Striker vehicle to travel off road at speeds higher than a conventional rigid axle suspension system,” added Raupp. “That’s a significant performance benefit to our customers.”

The Striker also features excellent forward, upward and lateral visibility with more than 7.4 square meters (80 square feet) of glass. The large, comfortable cockpit offers seating for five firefighters, wraparound cockpit-style dashboard, digital climate controls and Command Zone™ advanced electronics with built-in safety features.

Khimji Ramdas, the Oshkosh agent for the region, will provide around the clock parts, service and operational support.
