Oshkosh Airport Products Group Introduces Stinger Q4 Rapid Intervention Vehicle

OSHKOSH, WIS. (October 3, 2008) – The Oshkosh Fire & Emergency Group, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) division, announced today that it has named Fire Raiders Ltd. of South Africa as its sales and service distributor for South Africa, Botswana, Kenya and Nigeria. Fire Raiders will offer complete sales, service and support for Oshkosh® airport products including the Striker® aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) truck, as well as the complete line of Pierce® fire and emergency apparatus. Fire Raiders is the largest distributor of fire safety equipment in Southern Africa and is expanding throughout the continent in various countries.

The Oshkosh Striker crash tender vehicle is available in 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 configurations and can carry up to 17,033 L of water and 2,385 L of foam, plus available dry chemical system or a Halotron I system. Customers can also opt for a High Reach Extendable Turrert (HRET) as well as a high volume bumper turret. The Striker is in service at leading airports around the globe, including China’s Beijing Capital International, Dubai’s Al Maktoum International and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International.
