OSHKOSH STRIKER AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND FIRE FIGHTING VEHICLE FEATURED AT 2015 INTERSEC TRADE FAIR

Striker showcased at world’s leading safety and security industries trade fair in Dubai.

 
OSHKOSH, WIS. (January 31, 2015) Oshkosh Airport Products, LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) company, is displaying the Oshkosh® Striker® aircraft rescue and fire fighting vehicle at Intersec 2015, held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center that runs January 18-20. The Oshkosh Striker 6 x 6, on display courtesy of Kuwait International Airport, is located in the Fire & Rescue Exhibition Hall 2, booth C-22.

The Oshkosh Striker (available in 4 x 4, 6 x 6, and 8 x 8 axle configurations) offers many proprietary technologies, including Oshkosh TAK-4® all-wheel and fully independent suspension for a smooth ride and exceptional off-road capabilities. The cab features 25.6 cubic meters (84 square feet) of glass and a 238-degree horizontal viewing radius for unmatched outward visibility, while the purpose-built instrumentation and controls deliver superb ergonomics. The engine power pack components are readily accessed through walk-in doors on either side of the engine compartment for easier servicing.
 
The Oshkosh Striker 6 x 6 vehicle’s firefighting system includes an 11,356-liter (3,000-gallon) water tank, a 1590-liter (420-gallon) foam cell, and a 249-kilogram (550-pound) dry chemical system for multiple agent fire suppression capabilities. Also available is the Oshkosh-exclusive Snozzle® high reach extendable turret (HRET) that enables firefighters to discharge from 6.1 meters (20 feet) below grade to elevations as high as 19.8 meters (65 feet).
