United States Air Force Orders 34 Striker® 6x6 Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Vehicles from Oshkosh Airport Products

New orders reinforce long-standing partnership and support emergency response capabilities across U.S. Air Force installations.

NEENAH, WIS. (Sept. 17, 2026)Oshkosh Airport Products, a division of Pierce Manufacturing Inc. and an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) business, has received an order from the United States Air Force for 34 Striker® 6x6 Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles. Initial deliveries for the order, which supports continued modernization of the Air Force's emergency response fleet, will take place in late fall 2026.

FOAP_USAF_2026_InsetThe Striker ARFF vehicles will provide advanced firefighting capabilities for military airfields, helping protect personnel, aircraft and critical infrastructure while supporting mission readiness across Air Force installations worldwide.

Each 6x6 vehicle will be equipped with a 3,000-gallon (11,356-liter) water tank, a 420-gallon (1,590-liter) F3 foam tank and a 500-pound (227-kilogram) dry chemical system, providing substantial firefighting capacity for a wide range of emergency scenarios.

Other key features include:

  • All-wheel drive for traction and mobility
  • TAK-4® Independent Suspension for stability and control
  • 2,000 gpm (7,570 lpm) water pumps
  • Roof turrets with up to 1250 gpm (4,732 lpm) rapid agent application
  • Bumper turrets with a 500 gpm (1,893 lpm) water and foam flow rate
