
These Striker® 8x8 ARFF vehicles strengthen Boston Logan International Airport’s emergency response capabilities and showcase continued investment in cutting-edge ARFF technology.
APPLETON, WIS. (February 3, 2026) — Oshkosh Airport Products, a division of Pierce Manufacturing Inc. and an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) business, announced the delivery of two Striker® 8x8 Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), further advancing Boston Logan’s commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence.
These Striker 8x8 ARFF vehicles are powered by two Scania DC16 V8 engines and are equipped with Oshkosh® TAK-4® Independent Suspension which provides outstanding off-road maneuverability and operational control. They also feature a 4,500-gallon (17,034-liter) water tank, a 630-gallon (2,384-liter) foam tank and 550 pounds (249 kilograms) of dry chemical, providing substantial firefighting capacity.

Boston Logan International Airport is located approximately three miles northeast of downtown Boston and covers over 2,300 acres.
