Oshkosh Airport Products Obtains Exclusive Rights in North America to Equip Brooms with the SIB Cassette Brush System

OSHKOSH, WIS. (June 25, 2014) Oshkosh Airport Products Group, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), and Svenska Industriborstar i Västerås AB (SIB) today announced an agreement whereby Oshkosh Airport Products holds the exclusive rights in North America to equip brooms with the SIB cassette brush system. This is an extension of an agreement originally announced in 2012.

“SIB manufactures the industry’s finest cassette brush system, and Oshkosh is proud to offer it to customers in North America,” said Jeff Resch, Oshkosh Airport Products Group vice president and general manager. “A core Oshkosh mission is to help customers clear snow, ice and other debris from airport runways as quickly and efficiently as possible. This agreement enhances the value we bring to our customers which manage airport runway clearing operations.”

“We have developed a mutually beneficial working relationship with Oshkosh Airport Products, and this long-term extension of our 2012 agreement is an excellent move forward for both companies,” said Cecil Dahlberg, SIB CEO. “The SIB cassette brush system, matched with the Oshkosh XF broom and other brooming equipment, represents the state-of-the-art in performance and productivity.”

The SIB cassette brush system minimizes bristle-changing time and labor costs. It features easier operation, minimal vibration, and less snow packed in the bristles compared to traditional wafer brush systems. It sports a patented core construction in diameters of 36 inches or 46 inches and lengths up to 21 feet (6.5 meters). In addition, the SIB system requires fewer spare parts and is easier to maintain.
